Man arrested after stabbing another man in front of horrified guests during Thanksgiving party

An Indiana man was arrested after he stabbed another man during a Thanksgiving Eve celebration in front of horrified guests.

John Wiley Hammond, 25, of West Bend, was charged with aggravated battery and felonious disorderly conduct for stabbing Tim Precious, 55, at a party on Nov. 23, according to The Smoking Gun. Precious, according to the victim’s sister, Karen, had the knife in his hand when someone cut him.

Wiley then approached Precious and slung the weapon at him. Witnesses said Precious fell to the ground and was bleeding profusely from his face. They then went to assist him and found him in excruciating pain, the sister added.

He was transported to West Bend Hospital where he remained until Dec. 1, where he underwent emergency facial surgery and spent more than three weeks in recovery.

He initially spoke out and provided interviews with local media, but his statements became increasingly hostile and belligerent, the Smoking Gun reported. Now, his sister has made a statement to police.

“His vicious attack on him left him with a bullet wound and broken nose and face bone,” Karen Precious told the WXOW.

During an interview with police, Wiley admitted to stabbing Precious and apologized for his actions.

He was eventually taken into custody and is still in custody awaiting a bail hearing on the charges.
